Every breath that goes out of our bodies is nothing but Brahmanaad. Every word is Brahma. Every sentence Brahma. Every emotion is Brahma. Attaining anything, or winning someone's heart, also is this same lifebreath, it is sound. Every sound that arises from our bodies gives us good and bad results.
Every word that comes out of our mouths is Brahmnaad. The sound that continually resonates in our bodies is Brahmanaad. Without this sound the body cannot function. It is from this sound alone that every emotion, every attainment arises. By means of this resonance we can attain anything we want, as all works and attainments of the world result from this life breath. This resonance helps make us courageous and forebearing.
Sangeet:

The word Sangeet is made up of three letters - the prefix 'sam', root word 'ge', and suffix 'kta'. It stands for beautiful music sung with melody and rhythm to express emotion. In Indian tradition along with voice, musical notes and rhythm have an important place. That is why Bharata defined Gandharva as melodious notes set into a rhythm. This Gandharva is what came to be called a Sangeet.
Sharangdev defined Sangeet as a combination of song, instrument, and dance.
The Indian tradition lays great emphasis on voice, making vocal singing the highest form of Sangeet. It is placed in a higher category than instrumental music. While practitioners of western music give greater importance to instrumental music.
The English word music has a direct connection with the Greek 'muse' and Arabic 'mausiki'. In Greek tradition the goddess of poetry and music is Muse. This Muse, the inspiring goddess of song, is known to be the daughter on jyons (???)
The sanskrit word 'dyons' stands for heaven. The concepts of jyons and dyons are similar to those of Brahma and Saraswati. (???)
So, not only in India, but world over, gods and goddesses have been seen to be the inspiration behind music.
It is through the medium of creative art that an artist expresses his emotions. Five types of creative arts have been recognized. They are: architecture, sculpture, painting, poetry and Sangeet. Sangeet is based on melody and rhythm. Both these elements are more subtle than those used in other art forms. That is why Sangeet is seen to be the highest form of creative expression.
Sangeet encompasses the instrumental and dance forms also.
Being a combination of voice, rhythm and phrases song is the highest form of expression. Whereas having only notes and rhythm as it's component instrumental music stands next, and dance comes third under the music category.
That is why it has been said that in music instrumental is below the vocal and dance below the instrumental in importance.
During the worship of God the mind remains distracted if there is no music. And concentrates better when worship is combined with voice and rhythm.
There are no clear evidences with regard to the origin of music. But the human nurtured in the lap of nature, always found joy in the music he created.
According to Damodar Pandit the seven notes of music are a gift from the different sounds made by various animals and birds.
Rig Veda, the oldest text, contains much material with regard to music. As the text is set to musical compositions its richas are called stotra.
In saam gayan (singing) there are three performers. This form of music is generally used during yajnas and other social rituals.
